Photography is a way of exploring the world.  It concentrates experience and creates new ways of seeing. This photography invites the viewer to experience the natural and man-made worlds without distractions. It lets viewers put themselves into the setting.   One setting could be described as 'what we are given and the other 'what we make of it'.  The work concentrates on form, colour, light and beauty.  Beauty is important.  It inspires.  It soothes. There is beauty in nature and beauty in the ingenuity of humankind.  If there is an underlying theme in this work it is that we shouldn't have to sacrifice natural beauty as our civilization advances - that we lose part of our souls and an aspect of civilization if we fail to appreciate our natural context.
